Dean Leads School of Accounting and Finance Executives in Academic Collaboration Meeting with the School of Economics, Minzu University of China
💫 On Monday, March 31, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Neeranat Kaewprasert Rakhangthong, Dean of the School of Accounting and Finance, Walailak University, along with the school’s executives, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Somjai Nuphueng, Head of the Research Unit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jintanee Rusu, Associate Dean, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chubalm Pathak, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, visited Minzu University of China (MUC) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, for an academic collaboration meeting with the School of Economics.
Minzu University of China is a prestigious institution recognized in global university rankings. The School of Economics has a long history, dating back to its establishment in 1952, and officially became the School of Economics in August 2000.
🌟 The school currently offers a comprehensive academic development system, covering undergraduate to doctoral and postdoctoral levels. It provides undergraduate programs in Economics (International I), International Economics and Trade (National First-Class), Finance (National First-Class), Public Finance, Digital Economy, and Economic Innovation. Additionally, it offers high-quality master’s and doctoral programs in Theoretical and Applied Economics.
The School of Economics at MUC has also established several leading research centers, such as the Institute of Digital Economy, the Center for Contemporary Chinese Economic Research, and the Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Development. The school comprises 56 faculty members, including 17 full professors, 22 associate professors, and 22 doctoral advisors, many of whom are nationally recognized experts and award recipients.
🌟 This meeting aimed to build an academic collaboration network between the two institutions, focusing on research, faculty and student exchanges, and joint curriculum development. Key discussion points included joint research publications in international journals and inviting MUC professors to serve as co-advisors for doctoral research projects at the School of Accounting and Finance, Walailak University.
