Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, has commended the success of the university’s recent international visits to China, the United Kingdom, and Kazakhstan. He praised the outcomes of the trips, which fostered meaningful academic collaborations and strengthened global partnerships.
“The School of Accountancy and Finance should serve as a model for internationalisation for other schools within the university,” said Professor Dr. Sombat, emphasizing the importance of advancing international engagement across all faculties to meet global standards and expand opportunities for students and staff.
Accompanying the President were Associate Professor Dr. Charun Boonkarn, Vice President, and Assistant Professor Dr. Shubhalm Pathak, Assistant Dean for International Affairs. Dr. Charun expressed his appreciation for Walailak University’s promotional video, which was well-received by the partner universities during the visits. The delegation also participated in discussion sessions and networking meals with executives from the host universities, promoting goodwill and exploring new avenues for academic cooperation.
