On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 13.30 – 16.30, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanya Chanchaichuchit, Head of the Center of Excellence for Logistics and Business Analysis Walailak University along with Ajarn Nitcha Watthanasiribhakdi Member of the Center of Excellence Collaborated with international research institutes (Mekong Institute (MI)) and speakers from institutions abroad, including Associate Prof. Dr. Sreejith Balasubramanian from Middlesex University, Dubai and Associate Prof. Dr. Albert Tan from the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation join an online seminar on “Green Freight and Logistics in GMS countries” via Zoom program. The event was aim to transfer experience and knowledge in environmental logistics management to government officials and business operators and associations and confederations on logistics and transport. In the Mekong Sub-region (GMS) countries in all 5 countries, namely Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar, as well as the concept of environmental logistics management to achieve the goal of becoming a logistics organization; Environmentally friendly such as developing digital technology skills and capabilities, leveraging technology to support operations in Industry 4.0, improving transport efficiency in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries to improve competitiveness, Environmentally friendly, setting regional Green Standards for the logistics industry, and improvements to the E-database for Green Logistics technology and the platform for the E-database. The meeting attracted the attention of many sectors and attended the meeting with more than 55 people, including logistics management students at the School of Management.
