The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China invited Assistant Professor Dr. Somjai Nuphung, lecturer in the Economics Program and Lecturer Suchat Chansamran, lecturer in the Bachelor of Business Administration program Business Management and Finance in the Digital Age School of Accounting and Finance to represent Thailand to attend the seminar “Cross-border Industry Chain Cooperation for Chambers of Commerce and Industry of RCEP Countries” in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, from October 18 to October 31, 2023.

The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China invited Assistant Professor Dr. Somjai Nuphung, lecturer in the Economics Program and Lecturer Suchat Chansamran, lecturer in the Bachelor of Business Administration program Business Management and Finance in the Digital Age School of Accounting and Finance to represent Thailand to attend the seminar “Cross-border Industry Chain Cooperation for Chambers of Commerce and Industry of RCEP Countries” in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, from October 18 to October 31, 2023.

The seminar, conducted by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (China Chamber of International Commerce) Training Center, drew attendees from 15 nations. Thailand has 5 representatives, and their activities include: Activities include the following:

1. Lectures and knowledge exchange activities on a variety of trade and Belt-Road subjects, such as cross-border e-commerce, enterprise digital transformation, interpretation of the Belt and Road Initiative and RCEP, and development of the convention and exhibition industry, among others.
2. Study tour of important places related to the People’s Republic of China’s trade system, which includes (1) Ruifu Sesame Oil Co., Ltd. production factory, a well-known sesame product company that specializes in production and distribution within the country as well as exporting all over the world. The company was founded in 1984, inheriting the traditional Xiaomo sesame oil producing technique with a 600-year history. (2) Weifang Cross – border E – commerce International Express Comprehensive Operation Center in Weifang, a Chinese smart city (Smart City), and (3) JD.Com, a multibillion-baht online marketplace. The Smart Logistics and Warehouse system, which uses robots and drones to distribute stuff autonomously, may deliver products within 24 hours. 2. 3. Attended the China (Tai’an) – B&R Countries Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exchange Meeting for Belt and Road Countries, where we met and shared views with Commercial Office Local Leaders, Private Companies, and the Chinese Media.
4. Meeting and discussion with representatives from Weifang University and Minzu University of China, as well as the establishment of a network of ties to foster future academic and scientific collaboration with seminar participants from 15 countries.
