On Monday, March 31, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Neeranat Kaewsricharoen Rukangthong, Dean of the School of Accounting and Finance, Walailak University, together with the School’s executives — Asst. Prof. Dr. Somjai Nuphueng, Head of the Research Center; Asst. Prof. Dr. Jintanee Rusue, Associate Dean; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chubalm Patak, Assistant Dean for International Affairs — visited the Faculty of Economics, Minzu University of China (MUC), one of the leading universities in the People’s Republic of China, for a study visit and academic collaboration meeting.
Minzu University of China is internationally renowned, consistently ranked among the world’s leading institutions. Its Faculty of Economics was established in 1952 and officially became the Faculty of Economics in 2000. Today, it offers a full range of programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels, covering diverse fields such as Economics, International Trade, Finance, Public Finance, and Digital Economy.
The Faculty is also home to several leading research institutes, including the Institute of Digital Economy, the Center for Contemporary Chinese Economic Studies, and the Institute for Poverty Reduction and Development. It is staffed with highly distinguished professors and national experts recognized internationally.
The meeting focused on fostering academic networks through joint research, student and faculty exchanges, and collaborative curriculum development. Particular emphasis was placed on co-publication of research in international journals and inviting MUC professors to serve as research advisors for doctoral students at the School of Accounting and Finance.
This collaboration represents another significant milestone for the School of Accounting and Finance, Walailak University, in advancing towards internationalization in line with the University’s vision of becoming a globally competitive higher education institution.
On this occasion, the Walailak University delegation presented souvenirs to the executives of Minzu University of China as a symbol of friendship and the promising collaboration to come.
